Our company opened a new unit in 2016, in addition to its existing sites in Budapest and Győr. From 2018, this new unit will support the work of the Hungarian development engineers in the E/E (electrical and electronic) competence centre of thyssenkrupp in Budapest. The green field investment was launched in April 2016, with two businesses units.
Our Steering business unit will be launched in the second half of this year. Our facilities will be manufacturing Electro-mechanical power steering (C-EPS type) for the international auto industry, designed by our engineers in the competence centre in Budapest. These "smart" steering systems use electromotive assistance instead of traditional hydraulic systems that constantly require energy, meaning that they only use energy when they actually turn the steering wheel, saving up to 0.3 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres, depending on the type of car. In addition, electromotive assistance is more reliable than traditional hydraulic systems, and requires less maintenance work.
The main profile of our Camshaft business unit involves the manufacture of overhead camshafts. These components are highly innovative and cost-efficient, since less raw material is used in their production, and they have lower power consumption and lower energy demands for their production, due to their reduced weight. The test facility began operations in March 2017, and currently has almost 40 employees working in the newly constructed manufacturing halls, with jobs related to production, maintenance, logistics, quality assurance, IT, and management. We plan to have a significant number of employees employed in shift work in the facility by next year.
In April of this year, we organised industry presentations at two Jászság vocational secondary schools, in Jászberény on 19 April and Szolnok on 20 April where,
...The town of Jászfényszaru, home to the plant units, lies 60 km from Budapest, near the M3 motorway. The plants are located in the industrial park on the edge of the town, and can be easily reached by car from highway no. 32, or by local buses.
